Congratulations to young artist Victor Ghose, a student of Eaton Square School in London. With an Indian father and a French mother, Victor grew up learning about the beauty of the elephant and the importance of their preservation. His background grew him more passionate about the cause and this competition. He notes that his inspiration for the stars on the Blue Elephant came from the name of the mother Elephant Tara which means Star in Sanskrit.
Ella will be painted using Ghose’s design by well-known artist Philip Colbert, and will be auctioned off at Sotheby’s NYC with all proceeds going to Elephant Family. Ghose’s family also received an invite to the Sotehby’s event, a generous shopping adventure on www.maclarenbaby.com as well as a unique model elephant in his own design, to adore forever.
With close to 10,000 like/shares worldwide for the #MaclarenElla_phant Competition, all three designers are winners. Thank you Foxy, Valerie and Victor and all our young artists for supporting Elephant Family and submitting your beautiful designs! We hope they are as proud of their designs as we are. Once again, thank you to everyone who participated. Stay tuned in the coming months for updates on Ella’s design and auction.
